But a dream

In my dream

all is well

So real it seemed

In my dream I like to dwell

I run on water

I dance with the trees

Oh to be the dream maker's daughter

If only this time would freeze

Twirling and whirling in the wind

Sleeping on a star

So wonderful, it's almost a sin

I never want to be from here afar

With the birds, I soar

With the horses, I run

I stand on a seashore

I never have had so much fun

To run and to Play

Looking through a window
Watching you play
Watching you run
And enjoy your day
I wish I were like you
I wish I could play outside and run
Much as I please
But that's not the way it is
For me, i'll never run
I'll never even walk
I watch you run
I watch you play
and I pray
That there might be a day
Where I will be able
To run and to play
Someday

Frost (Prose)

The cold from the sky, bites into the grass and turns the grass from green to a
beautiful shimmery white-silver. It looks delicate as a spider web, woven
through the land, spanning out before our eyes. The white trembles and dissolves
if you touch, but you always dare to touch it, leaving only the plain green
grass that was there before. Why does the cold turn the grass white? And it why
is it so delicate? It melts into nothingness when the sunshine touches its
silvery stems. And by the time, I go to see it, the phenomena is gone.

Food Haiku

I stare at my plate
My food lies there in a lump
once hot now it's cold

Sports Haiku

There is nothing like
When I spike the ball down hard
I love that feeling

Haiku about a Haiku

I can't stand these
Death to the person who made haikus
I really don't like haikus

((Haiku)) Summer and Spring

The sun shines quite brightly
And I take your words quite lightly
Then winter comes

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the small flowers bloom

all around there is beauty

I love spring flowers
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I CAN'T THINK OF ANYMORE!!!!!

My Place on the Tree

The winds howls at me
Shrieking for me to give up
But I hold my place on the tree
It twists and pulls me
Trying to drag me
From my place on the tree
But I stand firm firm
I do not let it win
It screams in rage
For it wants to win
But it's not yet time for me
To be pulled from my place on the tree
I start to become brittle
Brittle and brown
Weathered and worn out from my fight
It's finally time
So I allow the wind to take me
From my place on the tree

The Footsteps he Left Behind

He was invisible
Nobody ever saw him
He went where ever he wanted
Whenever he wanted
He didn’t have a care in the world
Except for to not be seen
By this cruel place we call earth

People have heard about this phenomenon
But they have never seen him
Only his footsteps he left behind
They don’t know how he came to be
Or who he was before
For he is never visible
He will never reveal himself to anyone

He walks around the world
Watching people go about their lives
With all their problems
He watches
Almost wishing he could help
But he doesn’t
They chose their lives
And he chose his
He chose to be invisible
With nothing to be traced to him
But the footsteps he left behind

Sometimes he wishes he were like them
Visible with friends and family
He must be isolated from everybody
His voice isn’t heard
Even if he yells at the top of his lungs
Should he have thought about his decision
Before he made it
But he can’t dwell on that now
So he starts to walk
Leaving nothing but footprints behind

Smudges

My fingers smudge the glass
Looking out, I can’t help it
The rain is so pretty
I want to go out
Mother, let me go out
No, she said
Sadly I return to my window
And I run my fingers ‘cross the glass

I wish I could go out
It’s so beautiful out there
All wet and shimmering
Please mother let me go out
If you must, she said
I didn’t bother to put on my shoes
I left my window
With my fingerprints
Smudged on the glass

Why? (Sestina)

Why don’t you understand
This can’t be just a Phase
It’s something I can’t Resist
I cried just one Tear
It makes me feel so empty
I can’t hold in the scream

You ask why I want to Scream
But you just don’t understand
Why I feel so empty
You say that it’s just a Phase
Why I couldn’t hold back just one Tear?
I wish I could resist

Why don’t you resist?
Your awful words make me Scream
Inside is all one epic Tear
You just don’t have ability to understand
That this is not just a Phase

I can’t stand by so Empty
But I just can’t resist
Impossible to get out of this so called Phase
I try no longer to hold in my Scream
You still don’t understand
And you laugh at the tear

I can’t stand that one tear
It makes me feel Empty
Could you even try to understand
I can’t even try to resist
The urge to Scream
I wish this were just a Phase

Stop telling me it’s just a Phase
That there’s nothing bad about one Tear
I want to fight the urge to Scream
I can’t say I’m Empty
It’s hard to resist
But now I understand

Wiriting a poem in five minutes (Tell me what you think!)

Standing out, looking in
Wishing to be in that wonderland they're in
They are so loved
And I am so unloved
They're as pretty as the the stars
All I have are scars
Everyone wants to be them
Who wouldn't? They are gems
They have it all, everything
And I have Nothing
I write this poem in vain
To try and explain this pain
But I can't
And I shan't
For I can't change who I am

Isolated

I stand in the midst of a crowd
But I feel lonely
There are fairly millions of voices around me
But I hear no noise
Why do I always feel alone
Why don't I ever hear any noise
I can't stand the lonliness
I can't stand the quiet
Please help me
Open my heart
Open my ears

LIttle Star

I look up at you hopefully
I make a wish
I wonder if it will come true
Please little star
Use your magic
To help me
I can't take the pain anymore
and you're my last hope
Please do try little star!

Run

You throw rocks at my window
Softly enough so my father won't hear
but loud enough for me to
I smile as you look up at me
and hold out your hand
I slip off the sill into your arms
I love the feeling
As you hug me
But just for a moment
For we can't risk it
We have to go
So we run
The moment should've lasted forever
but we had no time
we had to run
so we ran

Please don't leave me

I can't cry
I won't cry
Please don't make me cry!
You say it will be fine
But inside you don't really know
You say that you will come ok someday
But what if you're not?
I can't live without you!
My life would be a mess without your love
and you guidance
Please don't go!
I need you!
I can't live without you!
I was countin' on forever
But now all I can count on is a day
I hate these people
Telling me what's going to happen
That there is no chance on survival
I can't do this!
I can't be strong like you need me to be!
Please don't leave me!

Acrostic: Rhythm

Racing through my body
Hear the beat rushing through my ears
You call my name, I don’t hear you
Trying to get me out of this wonderland I’m in
How hard you’ve tried!
My eyes and ears are closed to everything but this sweet rhythm of mine

Alone

My mom yelled at me again
I don’t know what I did
To deserve this
She tells me
That I’m no good
That I should die
Or at least go to hell
Maybe I should
What did I do?
She tells me
That I’m fat
That I shouldn’t eat as much
Does she pay attention to me?
I love her so much
So I don’t eat anything at all
Ever

Sometimes I wonder
If I will always be alone
If my mom will always hate me
If I will ever be beautiful in her eyes
If she will ever be proud of me
I was two minutes early from school
She yelled at me and threw whatever she could find
Telling me that she needed more time just to herself
And that she didn’t want me around
I broke down and cried right there
She didnt give a second thought and hurled a vase at me

She locked me in the basement today
She laughs as I cry in pain
My head throbs
The gash on my forehead
Is pounding out blood
I wonder why?
Why does she hate me?
Feeling guilty
She unlocks the door
It’s too late
I’m lying dead, on the floor
I found a knife
I knew I would bleed to death
So I saved myself the pain
Laying on the floor next to my lifeless form
Was a blood-soaked paper
"Why did you hate me?
I love you so much mom
And I listened to you
I haven’t eaten hardly anything
And I wish often
That I could go to hell
Just to make you happy mom."

Today Is

Today Is…

Today is not being able to find socks that match

Today is a broken glass on the floor

Today is running into a wall

Today is finding he loves you not

Today is a lost library book

Today is snapping your ruler

Today is a note you just cannot hit

Today is a slippery floor

Today is a fight with your best friend

Today is just a day. I look forward to tomorrow.

This Night

I cannot stand this night
I hate the surrounding blackness
I really need some light

There is in nothing in my sight
Not a bloody thing to caress
I cannot stand this night

I walk blindly in wondering which way is right
How do I get through this mess?
I really need some light

Trying to win this fight
But I’m losing none the less
I cannot stand this night

I hear something creeping, ready to smite
I freeze in the darkness
I really need some light

I hear it again, my feet soon to take flight
This is it I guess
I cannot stand this night

I realize that my footsteps caused me such fright
How could I anchor such foolishness?
I really need some light

Guidance

Guidance

Sailors depend on a compass to show them the way
But if the compass should break
The sailors depend on the starts for guidance
They don’t need the compass
For a true sailor can read the stars
Just like a book

Life

Life
A flower that’s just a seed
Sprouts up from the ground
Green and small
Then it buds and starts to open
Turning into a beautiful mass of colors
As soon as it has blossomed it fades
The colors turn to gray
The petals start to wilt
They fall limply to the ground
And as it was there
It faded
Faster than it began
